Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Taxikol ("we"), which runs Taxikol. By creating an account or using the apps you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Taxikol connects passengers with accredited motorcycle-taxi and tricycle drivers in Puerto Princesa City. Bookings are available only inside the service area shown in the app.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and give your real name and your own mobile number.
- One person, one account. Keep your password and your phone secure; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- You can close your account at any time — see Delete your account.
3. Fares and payment
- The app shows a fare before you book. It is calculated from the route and the fare table in force at the time of booking.
- The final fare is calculated when the trip ends. It can differ from the estimate if the trip changes — for example a different drop-off or a longer route. The receipt shows how it was calculated.
- Passengers pay the driver in cash at the end of the trip unless the app says otherwise.
4. Cancellations
Either side may cancel a booking in the app and is asked for a reason. Repeated cancellations, or cancelling after the driver has arrived, may limit your use of the service.
5. Conduct
Passengers and drivers must treat each other with respect. You must not:
- harass, threaten or harm anyone, or damage a vehicle;
- make false bookings, false reports or false SOS alerts;
- ask for or offer a fare different from the one in the app;
- use the service for anything unlawful; or
- copy, disrupt or reverse-engineer the apps.
6. Safety
The SOS button calls the emergency number from your phone and alerts our operations team, who may phone your emergency contacts. It does not replace the police or emergency services, and it depends on your phone's signal. Ratings and complaints are reviewed, and serious reports are investigated.
7. Drivers
- Drivers must hold a valid licence and the documents and franchise the app asks for, keep them current, and use only the vehicle registered in the app.
- A driver's account is approved only after each document is reviewed. We may suspend it when a document expires, and when there are complaints about safety or conduct.
- We charge a commission on each completed trip, debited from the driver wallet. Below the minimum wallet balance shown in the app, a driver cannot go online until they top up.
- Drivers must follow traffic laws and the rules of the City of Puerto Princesa and the LTFRB.
8. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. We tell you why, and you can ask us to review the decision by writing to support@taxikol.com.
9. Liability
We work to keep the apps available and accurate, but we cannot promise they will never be interrupted or that a driver will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Philippine law, including the Consumer Act.
10. Changes
When these terms change we update the effective date above. If the change is significant, the apps ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
